Dear Friends, Several years ago I found on this site discussions about teaching students to recognize what questions were asking for. I was a consultant at that time and used a lot of the information in my work with teachers. For the last two years I have been back in the classroom happily teaching 1st grade.
At a recent meeting the upper grade teachers at my school were in angst over helping students recognize and answer inferential questions. I know some great suggestions are here. I can't put my finger on them. I apologize for asking for help that I know is here or in my email filing system, but I need some help. I feel like I'm lost without a map. Can someone please point me in the right direction?
