Maria, I would look at the units or themes that you are supposed to teach and decide what the big ideas are around those themes (essential questions) Go for depth rather than breadth, ideas that can be transferred in other areas. I can't teach in 30 minute lessons especially science with all the equipment we have to drag out. I teach each once a week for longer times. Sue
