I bought a book, D is for Dancing Dragon, by Carol Crane last fall. It is an
Alphabet book, but has many different layers of difficulty, combining simple
rhymes with expository text, which make it a perfect book for your needs. It
has beautiful illustrations and interesting facts. Carol led a session at a
conference I attended, and told about the research that went into the book. It
is filled with a great deal of factual information about Chinese culture. It's
published by Sleeping Bear Press (www.sleepingbearpress.com)

  Hope this helps!

I was wondering if anyone had some suggestions for literature on China that
would be appropriate for 4th graders....low performing 4th graders?
