Feel the need to explain my suggestion of the Beginning Reading website -While I am very aware of the issues surrounding the University of Oregon and NCLB/REading First - there is a link on the website that provides a tool for evaluating reading programs that MIGHT prove to be useful - This suggestion by no means was meant as an endorsement of this organization.
