This coming year will be our first year with a literacy coach position. Our principal is presenting it to teachers as a "Super Nanny" type role- the coach will work with two grade levels for a period of time on whatever areas the teachers request then she will back away and work with two other grade levels giving the two she worked with time to implement. She will then return later to "check back in" and help with any concerns that might have come up. She will not evaluate or have an administrative role- she is simply a helper.
