Angela, This is the same situation as I was in when I used discussion boards. We had a access to Gaggle, a free email service for students. I set up a classroom and then assigned them the discussion board. This is part of the services in gaggle. If you are looking for more teachers in the same kind of program, look at our district's IT page: http://www.manatee.k12.fl.us/sites/IT/home.html There are some good ideas found here. I am no longer in the program, but my school is an EDGE school and I will probably head back to it in the next year or so. I was one of the pilot classrooms for the District and I started it in 4th.
