Hi Everyone, I wanted to share something that I had success with. Before presented the "Debbie Miller file folder" schema lesson, I used the lint roller comparison in Tanny's book. Tanny's concrete examples make the understanding clear and meaningful to the children. I also wanted to build on the concrete experience of making the reading salad. So, after learning about schema we added "cucumbers" to our salad. I plan to stick with the salad theme and each time we learn a new strategy, we will add a new ingredient.
