Last year my school adopted the Orton Gillingham method to teach phonics
explicitly. Each teacher was trained in the program. After being a part of
the training I had a much better understanding of phonics and how the English
language works. The teachers at my school have really enjoyed using the
program so far, in combination with using authentic literature.
