not necessarily.... the skill is more isolated out of the text...then put back into text in one of those other groupings liked guided, reading centers or individual conferences..... it the text must be done within text then yeah I would imagine you might show three (high, medium, low) type texts as examples...... but again... it is for skill work and not necessarily text work..... things like story genre and author style that depend heavily on the text would be done in those other groups....... somebody correct me if they are familiar with this type of instruction. It was presented several ways in several classes there but the person who helped me see it best was Joe Yukish.... remember him from Wright Group Days and TALL meetings?
