I had the same experience. There are several ways to buy books from this organization. We bought many sets of 6 through their Title One program when we started guiding reading just to have books. Some are really good and some are not. You can review each book online and choose the ones you want.
Their books are not "free" due to the shipping charges. You also have to be careful with the large quantities of books they offer. Many are second hand and you don't know what the condition is until you receive them. My advice is to investigate thoroughly before purchasing. We have bought them, but we took our time and bought specific titles.
