We did it as a graduate class, part of the second year of an on-going
district-wide study group, sponsored by a grant for 4 years.
We taught and observed one another.
We learned a lot.
It was meant to go toward full lab classes the following year, but our
school district went in another direction.

My district is in the VERY EARLY stages of thinking about using summer
school as a time for some PD for our teachers. Our initial thought is
to set up
summer school as a time to work on comprehension work and have teachers
come to
observe/discuss/debrief what this kind of teaching "looks like". My
question is,
has anyone else done this and if so, what kind of response did you get?
