National Geographic also has an outstanding monthly magazine.  We use the 
Pathfinder edition in 5th grade.  The Pioneer edition is for 2-3 grade.  The 
pictures are  same, the articles are written at a lower level which may help 
with struggling readers. My students love getting a new magazine each month!
