, thank you for the amazing resource you gave us. I checked out the
Scholastic link and I love it. I am a second year teacher and still learning
about
reading assessments and different types of leveled text. In a class of 21
students I have levels from 1st grade independent to 8th grade independent, so
I am always interested in finding all my students' interesting and exciting
choices, at both the independent and instructional levels. I used the DRA2
with my 6th graders this year, so I understand those levels on the site,
however, I don't know about the Lexile Framework or Guided Reading. The first
I
haven't even heard of, and the latter I am aware of in terms of an
instructional strategy, but not as a leveled text program. I would appreciate
anyone
who could offer me an overview of these ways of leveling texts, as I'd like to
be aware of as many as possible. Thanks. ~Kecia, 6th grade inclusion
