Here's a question, and I realize I may be opening a whole huge can of worms
here...

Does it matter if it is a skill or a strategy? I was very concerned about that
a while back and kept questioning myself, and then the more I thought about it
I wondered why it was important. The kids don't need to know the term strategy
or skill to know that visualizing helps them understand. So, I guess I'm
wondering if it is really important to classify them? Can visualzing be both?
Can it be something the child does automatically (in my mind a skill) to aid in
their understanding (then a strategy)?

Just a thought.

Kendra, I usually say that a skill is something we know like changing y to i
and adding es. And a strategy is something we do like visualizing or
rereading. Not sure if that's right - but it is how I present them. Roveen
