Lucy Calkins wrote Units of Study for Primary Writing.
It includes 9 books. The poetry book is called
Poetry:Powerful Thoughts in Tiny Packages. The whole
set is an excellent resource. You can only buy the
set. Another good resource for poetry are Regie
Routman's books on Kids writing poetry. Since I loop
with my 1st graders to 2nd. I use parts 1 and2 in 1st
and then parts 3,4,5 in 2nd grade. mm
