Hi, wonderful colleagues and partners in the trenches... I read with great interest the (slightly) off-topic post about the math book with Ellin Keene's intro, Comprehending Math. Today, my very generous principal approved my purchase of the book, as well as two other professional texts (Less is More by Kimberly Hill Campbell) and Practice with Purpose by Debbie Diller.) I hit the jackpot today, and just wanted to say "Thank you!" for recommending the book. It sounds like it will fit perfectly into my thinking and planning for next year.
With regard to the posts about the organization of the digest, I have one thought and now seems the time to get it out there. Although the list of topics at the head of the digest is numbered, the posts themselves are not. This is extremely frustrating when looking for a particular post. I often give up instead of trying to scroll through to locate exact the message I'm searching for. Is it possible to match the numbers to the messages? (I hope I'm expressing myself clearly; by this time of day - 8PM - I'm toast!) Thanks, again.
