Some good, high interest, inexpensive books are The Bluford Series from
Townsend press. They are a dollar a book and HUGELY popular at our
junior high. Reading levels are around 5th grade.

I am purchasing for an RtI room for next year. The population will
consist
of sixth through 8th graders reading two or more years below grade
level. I
am all over the nonfiction reading but selecting fiction is going to
present
a challenge as we must take care to interest and intrigue without
overwhelming or insulting. Please share any thoughts you might have.
