Joy (and anyone else who is familiar with the Durham/Raleigh area -RTP):
I will be in RTP until Friday. I though that there might be a place to go to
purchase several Heinmann titles that I want to read this summer (like I.E.S.S.
in Kernersville if you are familiar with it). So, far I haven't had any luck.
I have been to two Barnes and Nobles ( and bought Comprehending Math by Arthur
Hyde). Do you know of anywhere? I don't think that Stone's would carry
Heinemann titles. I really want to look at several titles to narrow my summer
reading wish list cuz it's way to long. I am in the middle of re-reading (more
like skimming) Growing Readers and have finished To Understand. I am getting
ready to order Reading for Real and need to start Comprehending Math and
Mentoring Texts. I would like to preview Assessing Comprehension Thinking
Strategies, Text Savvy, Thinking Out Loud on Paper, Inside the
Writer's-Reader's Notebook, and The Continuum of Literacy Learning, 3-8, of
which I am limiting myself to two at the most.
Otherwise, I will be too overwhelmed. Thanks for your help.
