For me Saxon and Everyday Math Spiral. I have found that children who
start with either program in K or 1st have a better chance of
understanding the program and progressing. To start it later means
that there are many new concepts you have to learn all at once and it
can be frustrating. Plus most schools don't buy all the components of
either program and the components are essential for understanding.

and day, to make you like everybody else -- means to fight the hardest
battle which any human being can fight, and never stop fighting."
