A group of five of us went to a two day instittue with Ellin Keene, Debbie
Miller, and a writing teacher who had worked for years with Ellin and her
group.  It was very inspiring. Two of the teachers were experienced, one
Was relatively new, one was a special ed teacher who was experienced but
hadn't done much work in literacy per se.  I have been teaching for 40+
years and am literacy/assessment coach as well as teacher at the school.
It was VERY WORTHWHILE for all of us.  I should add two of us were familiar
with Keene's work ahead of time.  Rest were not.
