Richard Allington spoke at the International Reading Conference in Nashville in November. He mentioned in his session that there is a lawsuit in Florida over DIBELS and that they are not using the assessment because of the lawsuit. I have not been able to find any information about this online but I thought it was very interesting. He also mentioned that the Reading First initiative is ending at the end of the year because it has not proven effective. Does anyone know anything about either of these?
