Instead of our weekly snack sale, we host a fundrasising drive to purchase children's picture books to be donated to local children's charities and literacy programs.We ask children to donate 50 cents to the cause instead of buying the snack. Students in the reading program will digitally record CDs of picture books that will be donated as well. . Everyone gets to vote for his/her favorite Seuss book. All staff wear a Cat in the Hat bowtie or hat on that day, in addition to any other Dr. Seuss-themed activities that may happen.
