Yes, I look at the areas they did well on and the areas in need of work. Some of the frustration is that they are not reading at grade level, but all have made great gains so far this year. Renee, we have very vocal teachers at our school and they do speak out how innapropriate these tests are (especially for 2nd graders). I am very excited to use the drawer, staircase, and lightbulb idea with my students. They are understanding comprehension strategies in their leveled readers! Thanks for you support.
