This is an interesting question and I am not sure what you mean-
Do you mean what teaching strategies would a teacher use to teach poetry? or
Do you mean what types of comprehension strategies can children learn through
poetry?

My students love poetry and read it every single day- it is usually their
favourite choice durning DEAR time. Their favourites are the books edited by
Bruce Lansky (he has a great web-site- you can google his proety pages). The
stratgies I teach with poetry are making inferences and visualising and also
poetry is a great tool for teaching fluency as it has great rhythm.
