I am an elementary education student at Wayne State University. Chapter 7
recommends "capturing thinking" areas for reading comprehension; specifically a
theater corner, book talk zone, artist's studio, and a writer's den. It seems
difficult to have all areas available given space allotted in school classrooms
as well as the number of students. Being a first year teacher, I would love to
incorporate this into my everyday schedule. Does this strategy really work and
are there any tips you could give that make it work? Shelly
