I think the "easier for teachers" issue is a matter of degree. Certainly the benefit to students should be the priority that guides our practice.
BUT teachers are dying out there with the overwhelm of all they are told they should do for the good of the students. We're losing good teachers. We have to find a "reasonability" zone that works for teachers and students.
