You don't say what grade you are working with so I will offer a few ideas... Early elementary: * Display your morning message on the smartboard and use the bells and whistles to teach the usual morning message comprehension lessons. * Create a cloze text and ask the children to figure out the missing words using context and/or letter clues and/or prior knowledge
