will you elaborate on what is in your gym bag and how they decide what is important. I like this better than my purse. What do you put into the bag?

Alissa,

The comprehension toolkit has good lessons for determining importance. the center around what you think is important compared to what you think the author thinks is important. You use the evidence from the text to support the answers. For fiction how about the purse lesson from Tawny McGregor of sorting what is truly needed her purse. I use my gym bag that I bring to school on a daily basis. The class helps me sort through it to lighten up.
