Everything I do in literacy refers back to the work of these two. While many others wrote about the workshop approach, to me they provided me with a clear picture of exactly how this looks, sounds, and feels. I cannot imagine what my class would be like without the routines and procedures they helped me establish. They taught me that this can and should be a joyful experience.
