I just took a course on picture books and one of the days the teacher laid out a huge selection of books, roughly 10 per group. We had 2-3 minutes to breeze through them and write down the ones that interested us. It was similar to "speed dating" but with books. It was really neat and although we did it with graduate level students I can definitely see it grasping the interest of the younger ones...goodluck!!!
