Hello,
I am going
to start student teaching this fall, and I wanted to know how everyone felt
about reading rotations. How many
rotations and what kinds of stations would you suggest? My cooperating teacher
for pre-student
teaching used to have three stations – one where the children would meet with
her, another where they would read together in groups, and then a third where
children read silently. She had parent
helpers in the room for these rotations though, and I was wondering if it was
possible to achieve this without parent help.
Of course, parent involvement is very important, but parents are not
always available during the day to come in and help. What would you suggest?
Adela
