Hello all, I loved to sit on the floor with my kids until the day I couldn't get up without one student pulling on each arm :(. What I like about the kidney shaped table is that I am not so far away from each child (just the radius length rather than the diameter). I do reading groups, writing groups, and sometimes kids doing a variety of activities. Sometimes I'm there, other times it's just the students. I tried small circular desks but found them too confining for my taste (we like our space). Now that I have just 8 children in my class I have given my kidney table to another teacher as I haven't the room or as great a need as she.
