Hello,  I am in need of your expertise.  I've just started teaching 4th grade
and part of our writing program/comprehension is expository text structure.  I
bought the book nonfiction reading power and have been using the information,
but after going to a district inservice, I realized they really want the
students to be able to read a text and determine if the author used
compare/contrast, cause/effect, etc.  Does anyone have resources or know of a
site that has paragraphs showing each of these for a 4th grade level?  The
reason the students have to know this is that on the 4th grade writing test in
March, expository text might be one they have to respond to.  Any help would be
greatly appreciated so that my students can be successful!
