A friend of mine had the most amazing kindergarten library. She had enough seasonal, holiday, etc. books to give them their own categories ( a bin of Halloween books, Christmas books, Hispanic books, etc.). I did the same with my books when I taught third grade, which made it easy for my students to choose books when it was reading buddy time with our kindergarten partners.
