Hi Tina,

I think the book list (broken out by reading strategy) in the appendix of
Strategies that Work is exactly what you're looking for.  It is a list of
picture books that can be used for teaching visualization, predicting, etc.
You mentioned the book so hopefully you have access to it.  The book also has
examples of think-aloud charts for introducing the strategies.  I've used these
exact materials in PDs with classroom teachers and found it to be a very
helpful resource.

Subject: [MOSAIC] Book List Recommendation

Hello all,
I am moving to teach second grade next school year.  I am trying to
compile a list of books that support the reading comprehension strategies in
"mosaic of thought" , "Strategies that Work", as well as "Comprehension
Connections", and "Reading with Meaning".  I was hoping some of you here
could give me a really good list that would work well with second graders.
I have a deadline of Monday to get this list in IF I want them to spend the
money on these books.  I sure do appreciate your help.

Tina
