Is there really a crisis related to our boys and their literacy or is it better
put that education really doesn't care of their level of literacy but simply
pays attention to a biased reading test and how they do bubbling in the right
answer.

As I research, I see that great questions are being raised as to our education
neglecting them. For example, the fact that boys typically score lower than
girls on standardized testing. As a result, boys are being put into remedial
reading programs because their level of literacy is being measured simply by a
test score. I find this issue tremendously worrisome, does anyone else????

Literacy cannot be measured by one test, and frankly, is there anyone out there
that would be motivated by an intensive, remedial reading class that most
likely is scripted and does not include great literature?
