Another good book I use every year is "Nobody Knew what to do: A story about
Bullying" by Becky Ray McCain.
Does not go with I messages but I teach I messages and then teach the
difference between tattling (telling just to get someone in trouble) and
bullying- when they SHOULD tell an adult.
They might try "I messages" first but they should know when to tell an adult
to get help.

Subject: [MOSAIC] Conflict Resolution/I-Statements
Hi! I am student teaching in the 2nd grade and I want to do a lesson on
Conflict Resolution. I want to teach the students about how to use
I-statements (When you I feel etc). I am hoping this
will help the children to express their feelings in a positive way and
help them to problem solve. I am looking for children's books that might
be a good introduction to this topic or at least a discussion starter. Any
suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Lauren
