I, too have used REWARDS for middle school kids who can read 2nd grade material but not 4th. but our district is now telling us to use a new program, Phonics Boost and Blitz from Really Great Reading Company. Boost is for those who need more and Blitz is for mild decoding needs. We don't know much more than that.they are using 6th Grade DIBELS accuracy scores of 97% or lower as the indicator that a child needs phonic intervention.We have so many kids that qualify based on that that kids who need comprehension support won't be getting any until 2nd semester.
