http://www.lauracandler.com/  Laura Candler has a number of free resources and
has writted an ebook called Empowering Readers, which is a step-by-step guide
for implementing Reader's Workshop. It's fabulous, downloadable, and not too
expensive. I used this resource when I started RW and it was so helpful!
For a little extra you can join her user's groups and collaborate with teachers
from all over the country who are trying Reader's Workshop.
http://hill.troy.k12.mi.us/staff/bnewingham/myweb3/  This is a 3rd grade
teacher's site. She has been a featured teacher on scholastic.com. She has some
great Reader's Workshop information and resources. Her whole site is full of
helpful information.
By the way, I believe strongly in RW. I found that all of my students responded
to it and improved their reading skills. Most importantly, they all became
passionate readers. Good luck to you!

Absolutely this one:

I'd highly recommend Sharon Taberski.

<http://www.ttms.org/steve_peha/steve_peha.htm>Regie Routman's site, Nancie
Atwell's, Donalyn Miller

However, I would urge you to consider a couple other sources:  First,
Interlibrary Loan.  Your local library should be able to get you whatever
book you want for a pretty extended checkout time.  Next, Stenhouse and
maybe other publishers allow you to read several of their books online.  I'd
also recommend visiting amazon.com and reading about Linda Dorn and Carla
Soffos' books and see which of them would be the best fit for you.  Those
books are very reasonably priced.
