Have you considered short stories?

Also there are memoir compilations (When I Was Young , I think that's the
title), so each memoir would be similar in length to a chapter, but might be on
a higher level. There's a first and second of that book. It's famous YA and
Juvenile authors - each writing a memoir. Also Sandra Cisnos book, name
escapes me right now. I can't remember off the top of my head a specific one
that would be problem/solution, but I would guess that some in there would be
applicable. My books are at school, but I could check them at some point this
week. I've read them all. I used many of the stories in them to prompt memoir
writing. Haven't had my coffee yet, maybe my head and suggestions will be
clearer later. lol

Good luck! Email me personally if you'd like me to look further into what I've
mentioned.

An old man once said, "There comes a time in your life, when you walk away from
all the drama and people who create it. You surround yourself with people who
make you laugh. Forget the bad, and focus on the good. Love the people who
treat you right, pray for the ones who don't. Life is too short to be anything
but happy. Falling down is a part of life, getting back up is living."
