Hi Suzie,
I'm responding to this question... What do you do when your observations and the formal assessment are conflicting in the information they give?

I think that there is a difference between what a student *can* do and what a student just naturally does as a habit. Do you think that's where you see a conflict?

How do you use assessment results to improve your teaching and therefore student
outcomes?
Do you use more than one assessment to assess a specific skill?
What do you do when your observations and the formal assessment are conflicting
in the information they give?
What emphasis do you place on informal assessment and to what extent is it a
part of your 'assessment'?
Do you review your assessments regularly?
Do the assessments give you the information you need?
How do you use technology to assist you in your assessment procedures?
Do your students have a 'say' in the type of assessments that best suit their
particular learning styles?
is the same assessement for all students fair?
