I ordered the book and would like to join the discussion.

I think this ties in wonderfully with New Year¹s resolutions. It is a time
when we can examine ourselves, and think about what is important. I loved
the lesson plan with the heart and legend on how to organize what is
important in different colors. I made this into a Word file so I can post it
on my website without the lesson plan. If interested, go to this link and
look for the Writing from the Heart Word document at the bottom of the list:

We are going to work on Charlotte¹s Web as a novel and play this semester.
I think poetry from the different characters points of view would be
wonderful. Looking for ideas. I will be taking a class on project-based
learning and will be linking what I learn to activities with the play and
extensions to use with it. I want the extensions to be with Language
Arts-based activities to improve reading comprehension and a love of words
and writing.

We are adding a sidekick to Templeton. Similar to the characters in Chicken
Run or Flushed Away.
