Great idea! BC's Performance Standards feature rubrics but begin at gr. 1
-- nevertheless these documents are older now, and with so much curriculum
being pushed down to K. I'd be surprised if these weren't actually kind of
close, all the same. I liked using the writing performance standards (and
writing samples of differing levels within the grade) in particular with my
older Resource Room kids. As they'd grown up in our low SES neighbourhood,
it was natural for them to think a few kids' good writing (they'd have seen
in their classrooms) was representative of "good" when in fact it wasn't
close to what was being produced in other parts of town. They were a little
shocked to see the volume and quality expected for various grade levels.
Not used to intimidate -- but to insist, "more volume, more care," etc.

I know you ask for CC standards; I'm just thinking there'll be a lot of
overlap. I think the visuals are a great idea.
