Real aloud Punctuation Takes a Vacation. Model how to insert punctuation correctly on an overhead projector or document camera with a colorful marker (preferably not red). When it's time for a period, have them make put out their pointer finger like they are popping a bubble and have them say "pop". It is auditory, visual and kinesthetic. Eventually, give them "thinking markers" - flair pens for them to insert their punctuation... let the writing begin!Lori
