Not true, unless they are talking about that it is the only one they have 
recently created that is aligned to common core.  Our school uses Treasures by 
McGraw-Hill and it is aligned with CCSS, so is their math.  All canned reading 
programs have more elements than you could use, the writing is always pretty 
weak, and it's all very mundane.  I miss the days of whole language when we 
taught using quality literature and chapter books.
