Just to clarify... I read the common Core book, not poem central. My ideas are
for the Common Core book. I wasn't sure based on the subject line, but your
question fit.

There were elementary examples all the way through the book, so I think it
would be appropriate for your grade. It seems to me that I found a free
preview for the book online and it had the entire book available to look
through. I would recommend trying to either find someone with the book or
looking through it online before purchasing. The fully scripted lessons
focused on math grade 2 and language arts grade 5. Other chapters had strategy
ideas that could be used, modified as needed, to fit most grade levels. Hope
this helps. Let me know if you have any more questions! I am hoping to get my
ELL teacher to read this book. This may give her some new resources and ideas
too!

I understood that you believe that this book will be very helpful for your 6th
graders. I teach ELLs grades 2 through 5. Do you think that I could some
find some strategies/ideas to use with my age range?
