Dear Vineet, ar you sure you set the initial values for lambdas in the correct way?
Could you send me the list of the directory where you run mert? The files cands.opt, feats.opt should be present because score- nbest.py cretes them). and a file init.opt is created by mert-moses.pl comopsed by 3 lines reporting the ranges of and the initial values of lambdas (at the first iteration) and the actual lambdas in the other iteratins.
