Hi all,
I'm using the latest version of moses (checked last week) to produce
tree-to-tree models (i.e., I have both source and target corpora
annotated with syntactic information). Following the instructions on
http://www.statmt.org/moses/?n=Moses.SyntaxTutorial, I managed to
produce the rule table and they look ok, lots of lines like these:
1978 [num] ||| 1978 [num] ||| ||| 1 1 1 1 2.718 ||| 1 1
1h50 [n] ||| entre [prp] ||| ||| 1 1 1 1 2.718 ||| 1 1
However, I'm having problems with tuning. I did not do any filtering
of the rule table, as running 'filter-model-given-input.pl
<http://filter-model-given-input.pl> -Hierarchical' did not seem to
work properly for syntax models. Using the complete rule table as
extracted during training, the tuning results in an output file
(run1.out) which contains only blank lines. Has anyone come across
similar problems?
My tuning command is the following:
scripts/training/mert-moses-new.pl <http://mert-moses-new.pl>
input_tuning ref_tuning moses-chart-cmd/src/moses_chart
model/moses.ini --working-dir tuning --rootdir scripts --mertdir mert
Thanks,
Lucia
