Look at the following MT-related job announcement: Position: 2-Year PostDoc Project: Efficient Algorithms for Natural Language Processing Beyond Sentence Boundaries (see below) More info: http://www2.personalavd.uu.se/ledigaplatser/2673postDoc.html The Computational Linguistics group at Uppsala University is looking for a post-doctoral researcher to work on the project "Efficient Algorithms for Natural Language Processing Beyond Sentence Boundaries". The appointment is for two years starting as soon as possible. The project aims to develop efficient algorithms for the integration of contextual information beyond sentence boundaries in natural language processing, specifically machine translation and syntactic parsing. The project will also explore the use of models that incorporate different types of discourse information into these processes, including but not limited to discourse referents, lexical cohesion and information structure. The project is a collaboration between the Computational Linguistics group and the Division of Scientific Computing at Uppsala University. Candidates should have a PhD degree, not older than five years, in a subject relevant to computational linguistics. Experience of research on machine translation and/or syntactic parsing is preferable but not a requirement. Questions about the position can be sent to Professor Joakim Nivre ([email protected]) or Professor Jörg Tiedemann ([email protected]).
