The Computer Science Institute of the University of Le Mans (LIUM) has openings for two postdoc positions in the field of Statistical Machine Translation. The successful candidate will work on the DARPA Broad Operational Language Translation (BOLT) project in collaboration with IBM TJ Watson Research center and other leading research centers in the USA and Europe. One of the goals of this project is to significantly advance performance of statistical machine translation of Arabic and Chinese text and speech.
We are looking for excellent candidates with proven experience in the fields of statistical machine translation, NLP or machine learning. Knowledge of Moses or previous participation in international evaluations is an advantage. Applications of native Chinese speakers are particularly welcomed.
